Susanne Altmann
Susanne Altmann is an art historian and curator. Her work focuses on critical and marginalized art, recently on women’s art production in (former) Socialist Europe before and after 1989. In 2018/2019, her pioneering exhibition The Medea Insurrection. Radical Women Artists behind the Iron Curtain opened at the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden and at the Wende Museum (Los Angeles). Altmann teaches German and Contemporary Art History at the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden.
