Sterre Barentsen
Sterre Barentsen is an art historian and curator. She is a PhD candidate at the Humboldt University working on an environmental art history of the late-GDR. She holds degrees in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art and Oxford University. Most recently she co-curated the exhibition Personal Places //Archival Spaces at the VII Moscow International Biennale of Young Art.

What does it mean to do archival research in embodied ways? Where is ‘the archive’ located in such an approach? And how might the open form of ‘the score’—a provisional map, a musical or performance score, a speculative cartography, an image atlas, a set of instructions—offer possibilities for articulating and transmitting the knowledge of elusive archives?
