Priyanka Basu
Priyanka Basu holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Southern California and teaches modern and contemporary art history at the University of Minnesota Morris. Basu’s writing has been published in journals and edited volumes including Third Text and Constructing Race on the Borders of Europe: Ethnography, Anthropology, and Visual Culture, 1850–1930. Her current research is on contemporary experimental and artists’ films that use ethnographic and archival methods as a way to critically engage anthropological, colonial, and other histories. She has received fellowships and awards including an Arts Writers Grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation.
